Fun things we do in Florida

Since coming back we have decided to take advantage of the big city and everything that Bryn would enjoy.  We have been very lucky that Brian's cousin, Heather has been on maternity leave for the past month and so Bryn and her cousin Piper have been able to spend a lot of time together.  We have gone on daily walks, gone to storytime at the library (one of Bryn's new favorite things), and had dinner together.  The girls play so well together as they are only 14 months apart, which is becoming less and less of an issue!

Bryn and Piper playing on the playscape
And having a dance party (with Ryder snoozing in the swing)

We have been going to MyGym (a version of a mommy and me class with some focus on gymnastics) for over a year now.  Bryn loves to go!  These are a few of her favorite spots!
The Ball Pit!
Swinging on the uneven bars

And jumping on the trampoline...and falling on the trampoline!

We went for a family plane ride.  It turned out that I was the most nervous, as I wasn't
sure how Bryn would be in the small plane, but she was SO excited to get in!

Happy girl with her headphones on!
 Pilot Dad
She had everything she needed - a window seat, a binks, and a smoothie!
All done and she doesn't want to get out!

'Me came into town for a week and luckily it was when Finding Nemo 3D
was in the theater.  This was Bryn's favorite movie over the summer after
the long drive from FL to MI, so we wanted to go see it on the big screen!
On our way in.  Bryn does not know what she is in for!
 Popcorn!!
Bryn didn't do all that well with the glasses, but they were cute!

Last weekend we went with our cousins to the air show at Cocoa Beach.
The girls had a great time in the sand and water, Ryder was great as always,
and the adults enjoyed the sun, sand, and planes.
 Helicopter refueling demonstration
Ryder with his headphones, sleeping through it all!
Piper with her headphones playing in the sand.

Bryn with her headphones, apparently in awe!

We have had a great month back and have lots planned for the months ahead!

Back to Florida...

...means back to SUMMER!!!  I am never really excited about leaving Michigan
and coming back to Florida, but it has been a great change of pace.  With Brian
back in the office all day, Bryn and I have changed our daily routine.  We have
been doing a lot of crafts, coloring, painting, learning (shapes, colors, letters, and numbers...they can be so tricky!), cooking, (which she calls "mixing"),
and playing both inside and out.

I took this randomly and thought it looked like a "back to school" picture :)

Bryn was playing Itsy Bitsy Spider on the IPad
and was doing the motions with it.
 "down came the rain"
 "and washed the spider out"
 rediscovering her slides outside
 Bryn loves to play "hide/peeks"
 peeking at the ladybug
Bryn found the fishbowl in a closet and so we decided to try a fish again...
She loves to look at her and watch her eat.  The water is so blue because that is the color of the water the beta came in....weird!

Gammie, or "me" as Bryn calls her, found a roller coaster nearby for sale.  Bryn loved the one that she rode on at her friend Cole's grandma's house, so we decided to get on ourselves.  The video is about 3 minutes long, but you get to see her ride and set back up the roller coaster and jabber all the way though it!  This is what happens in our house all day long!  I did move it outside now that it is only in the lower 90s and she can ride a lot farther and faster!  As you can see it turned into a great toy for both Bryn and Marley!  Thanks, Me!

Welcome August! Where did July go?

So, I have really been bad about taking pictures and blogging this summer.  It doesn't mean that we haven't done great things, just that we have been so busy that I haven't been sitting at my computer to see everyone else's blogs and feel the pressure to update!

Our biggest news...
We are 13 weeks pregnant and Bryn will be a big sister in the beginning of February!

We were able to go out on two boat rides this month.
Bryn watching as we pull out of the harbor and checking out our house.  If you look at the tree line, we have the tall tree in the middle of the picture in our backyard.
Our house is the cream and brown one
One of the few pictures of Bryn and her Mumma
 Running in the water
 Pure enjoyment!
 snacking and exploring
What a tomboy!  Bryn is good at keeping both hats and sunglasses on,
but for some reason she likes to turn this hat around backwards!
Chasing after the birds.  She cannot understand why they wouldn't want to play with her!
Bryn enjoyed stomping down Steve's sandcastles.
She is probably pointing and demanding more!

We had Brian's college friend Todd, his wife Debbie, and their son Cole to Port Austin for a few days.  The weather wasn't the best, but we had fun anyway!
Cole and Bryn played very well in the house together
We decided to fingerprint one day.  Thank goodness for huge rolls of plastic for the floor!
Bryn was very interested and had fun mixing some of the paint.
Cole, only 10 months, was not as interested...
Bryn discovered that her belly was as good of a place to paint as paper
 Their finished product :)
And into the tub they go!!!

We also went putt-putt golfing one day.  We couldn't pass up this photo shoot opportunity!
Bryn got distracted by all the hole designs and explored all of them!
We hit the fair one day and the slide was the only ride we went on.
We played a few games and won the kids each a stuffed animal!
Unfortunately, I cannot get to my pictures of seeing the animals...but Bryn loved seeing the "moo cows", learning that a sheep says "baa", and touching the pig ears.

That was pretty much our July!  Hopefully August will be just as fun, but not as quick!

Fourth of July

So this is a little late, but....
We had a wonderful day for the 4th of July! Another great day in Port Austin.
We all got dressed in our red, white and blue!

It was quite warm as we headed to the parade.
But had a great location thanks to my friend Becky!
Cole Cubitt and Bryn sat so nicely waiting and watching the parade.
Gotta love Huron County parades!  Several tractors go by!
Bryn enjoyed taking the bean bags back and forth and putting them
in the hole.  Once she even fell in herself!
Chocolate covered pretzel sparklers were a HUGE hit, especially with Bryn!
Bryn and Mumma on their way to the beach

 Blowing bubbles!
Love this pic of Bryn and Marley - both experiencing pure joy!
Norah Brining and Bryn on the beach together.  Planning a sandcastle?
 RUNNING!
The girls laid in the grass together and were giggling and playing with their toes - so cute!
We got out some sparklers while we waited for the fireworks to start.
Mumma got brave and let Bryn hold it by herself...only for a hot second!
All the adults ready for the show
Bryn and her dad watching the fireworks.  She enjoyed them and was not
afraid of the noise.  Although I think she would have preferred them to be a
little shorter, but she was great for being so far past her bedtime!

A few shots of the finale!

Thanks everyone for coming and for such a great day!
